Funerals
We’ll always be here to help you through one of life’s most difficult times. A Church of England funeral is available to everyone, giving support before, during, and after the service, for as long as it’s needed.
Christians believe that each and every person is uniquely made in the image of God. So a Church of England funeral is a good place to give thanks for all that was special about the person you knew and loved. The funeral can be held in a place that you choose – whether in St Francis Church, at a local crematorium, or a green burial ground.
The Church of England's funeral service is personal, dignified, and shaped by thanksgiving. The tributes and prayers at a funeral reflect the unique life of the person whose life we are celebrating.
After the funeral we offer ongoing support from the clergy and members of our trained pastoral care team. Please contact the Church Office if you would like to be put in contact with our pastoral care team.
When you talk to your funeral director you can ask for a service at Bournville Parish Church, or ask for one of the team of clergy or lay ministers to lead the service at the crematorium.
