Services & Worship

All through the various stages of restriction, we have been keeping the national and local Covid situation under close review. We have had at the front of our attention the need to protect and keep safe our people at St Francis.

We are keeping up to date with the Government's suggestions a we continue to live with Covid. We have been following the picture of the virus locally, and the effects of vaccinations.

Covid protection arrangements

For gathered worship, we shall remove the need for pre-booking; this will no longer be necessary.  We have arranged the seating in church again, and we do not have any real need to restrict numbers – at any rate for regular services.  We have made new arrangements for doing Test and Trace and for making possible physical distancing where this is requested.  We shall continue to recommend strongly that people wear face-coverings and sanitise hands.  We shall be thorough, when necessary, in cleaning church and places used by people.  Safety still requires that we have to assistance of stewards in sufficient numbers to make safeguarding possible.

We are committed to the continual process of holding the diversity of views, confidences and anxieties of our community and in response, over the coming months we will be offering the following physically gathered worship:

We are going to do this in stages, as follows:

Thursday mornings at 10 am:

2.   We are inviting you to bring your own picnic. Refreshments of tea, coffee and squash with individually wrapped biscuits will be served.

Watch out for more information here and on our social media accounts and then just turn up bringing with you –
