Services & Worship
All through the various stages of restriction over the past 14 months, we have been keeping the national and local Covid situation under close review. We have had at the front of our attention the need to protect and keep safe our people at St Francis.
We are now nearly at the start of the third stage of the Government's Roadmap out of restrictions. We have been following the picture of the virus locally, and the effects of lockdown and vaccinations.
On Tuesday, 27th April, the PCC accepted a recommendation from the Covid Response Group and our Ministry Team that the time had come when we can start to re-open our building for physically gathered worship. Actually, of course, we have been worshipping continuously in lots of different way throughout the last difficult year. But now we are delighted to be able to gather together again around and in our church building.
We are going to do this in stages, as follows:
Thursday mornings 10 am:
6th and 13th May, Individual Prayer;
20th and 27th May gathered Morning Prayer;
3rd June and thereafter for Holy Communion.
Sunday mornings at 10 am:
9th May All Together outside;
16th May Morning Prayer;
23rd May Pentecost Holy Communion outside;
30th May Holy Communion indoors.
The Ministry Team with the Covid Response Group will look for appropriate times to extend these opportunities to gather together again, and will keep you all up to date.
Physically gathered worship means, at present, a limit on numbers and therefore will require pre-booking, and arrangements are available for you to do this. It is essential.
We extend a warm welcome to everyone who comes to Bournville Parish Church, and especially to anyone who is visiting or worshipping with us for the first time. We trust you will experience God's presence and peace during your time with us. You are welcome to come as you are, but if you would like to talk to us about anything before you visit, please don't hesitate to contact us.
In addition to these optional physically gathered services we continue to offer on-line services only. These are as follows -
Sundays at Home include:

Join us for fun, friendship, stories, crafts, songs, and worship at our Messy Church Picnic on Friday 9th July
Messy Church is adapting, it won’t be the same as previous session but it will still be lots of fun. In particular there will be two big changes.
1. Rather than being able to drop in anytime it will now have a start time. We will gather from 3.30pm and start the fun at 4 p.m.
2. We are currently unable to provide food, so we are inviting you to bring your own picnic. Refreshents of tea, coffee and squash with individually wrapped biscuits will be served.
To help us plan please can you book sharing in the notes how many adults and children will be attending with you.
You can book HERE or contact the office to book for you.
Then just turn up bringing with you –
· A blanket to sit on
· A cup for refreshments
· A picnic
Covid guidelines will be strictly followed.
Please note that this is an outdoor event, should it rain, we will postpone to the following Friday, 16th July.
